Our Photographic Studio

Our newly refurbished studio opened in early March 2008 and is located in the Rossendale Valley. It is within easy reach of Burnley, Todmorden, Rochdale and Rawtenstall and within 10 minutes of the A56 and motorway network. The 2000 sq. foot studio includes a comfortable seating area, changing room and two photographic stages. It benefits from a south-facing aspect and extensive windows on two sides, allowing plenty of natural light. We also have the option of total blackout, giving us infinite control of the lighting with our professional lighting system.

Portrait sessions at Living Pictures Photography are relaxed enjoyable affairs. Take your time and settle in. Photographs don't lie! Natural expressions are always better than forced smiles and static poses. It's in our interest that you find the experience pleasant. Portrait sessions are as long or short as necessary and refreshments will be provided.

We can provide props and are flexible in the type of shot we take. We will adapt our style to meet your requirements. Unlike some photographers, you have an input into the direction the portrait session takes. We have many options, two stages, one white and one black, and a photographic backdrop system allowing us to meet the most demanding of requirements.

Photographic Studio Available to Hire

Photographic studios are few and far between outside major cities and for keen amateur photographers difficult to gain experience in. In order to support up and coming talent, we are willing to hire out our studio for non-commercial uses for a reasonable hourly fee. Hire will include exclusive use of the studio, a professional lighting system and access to our technical support. Half-day and full-day rates are available to local photographic clubs.
